Biography

All begins in 2013, when Marco Cantoni was intended to realise a heavy metal album: he meets Antonio Rubuano and Paolo Musazzi, and they instantly start writing music. Based on some original Marcos’s ideas, Cyrax’s songs were written in early 2013, gradually assuming strong progressive and experimental traits. During that time a young singer, Davide De Stefano, offered important contributions in writing vocal lines and drawing the copious choirs characterizing Cyrax's music. At the beginning of 2013 Cesare Ferrari and Paolo Biocchi joined the project. In march the group records its debut album, Reflections, which has been worldwide published in october 2013 by Musea. The recording sessions took place @ RecLab Studio during march 2013. Sound engineers were Larsen Premoli (Fire Trails) and Matteo Bolzoni. Larsen, who also gave important keyboard contributions, appears as guest. The second album Pictures was recorded during the summer of 2014 and published by Bakerteam Records. At the beginning of 2015 Paolo Musazzi left the band.
Tour started in December 2015, and after several line up changes, Gianluca Fraschini and Martin Chionna joined the band and played a crucial role in the composition of the third album. "Experiences", was released in December 2020 under Wormhole Records. During the recording sessions a young pianist by the name of Jacopo Bonora joined the band, and a few months later Cyrax recorded with him 5 songs for their new ep “Metamorphosis”. Cyrax's fourth album, NOVO DEUS, was released in 2023. It features 14 tracks and is sung in 17 different languages, a tribute to world music. The album received critical and commercial acclaim, leading the band to a 30-date European tour in 10 European countries, including Lughnasad in the Czech Republic as the headliner. The band is ready for the release of their new album, Aeneis, their first concept album centered on the figure of Aeneas, reflecting the band's usual relentless pursuit of innovation and self-discovery.

He started singing when he was 16 , at the beginning was just like a hobby in his free time. Then he went to CPM in Modern Singing Course. During these years he had many cover bands and side project like Stonecutters, Eyes 'N'Lips, Stray Side, Last Call. Passion for lyrical singing started when he was 23. He graduated in 2010 in Media Design and in 2017 in Lyrical Singing with Master in 2019.

Lorenzo Beltrami - Drums

Lorenzo Beltrami is an italian drummer/percussionist, born in Bergamo in 1994. After studying with the drummer of the orchestra of his town, Leffe, he continued his musical studies at the P. Secco Suardo high school in Bergamo, specializing in orchestral percussion. After a study experience at the University of Musicology of Cremona, he continued his drumming studies first with Maestrp Stefano Bertoli, and later with the appreciated drummer and teacher Maxx Furian at CDPM of Bergamo. He received Trinity College's Grade 8th in rock / pop drums in 2018 and the ALCM Diploma in Performance from the University of West London i 2019. Over the years he has played with various artists and ensembles throughout Italy and abroad, including the prestigious Mousikè Philharmonic, jazz concerts with the quintet of the pianist Claudio Angeleri, musicals and recordings of various records and singles. He has been the drummer of Cyrax since 2013, except for a brief pause, and with the milanese line-up he recorded the 2015 Pictures album and the new album being released. He teaches drums and percussion in various Bergamo orchestras.
